| Northeast Louisiana ARES members helped assist the evacuees from hurricane Katrina and Rita. There were numerous shelters in the area before, during and after both hurricanes. Before Katrina hit Larry, N5ASA and Glynn, KD5SII had a information table set up at the TA Truckstop on Interstate 20 at Tallulah, La. David, W5DSG, with the help of others made it possible for the evacuees to have cable television news coverage and computers connected to the internet.
