 The Louisiana QSO Party was on Saturday, February 14, 2009. A group of people gathered at a Camp on the Beouf River in Richland Parish located in Northeast Louisiana. Kevin (W5KGT) brought the ARES portable tower and set up with a beam antenna. Bill (KB5TLB) put up his portable tower with antennas. Bill (KE5WFA) had his motor home with a vertical HF antenna attached to the ladder on the back. Carlos (KB5YEG) and Nick (KD5TQO) built some wire antennas and put up. Scott (W1EBB) and his son, Andy, were there to help also. Andy had fun later fishing in the river. It was a group effort to get everything set up. During the day Nick cooked burgers and hot dogs.
