On Saturday, June 2, 2007 a group of ARES members provided Communications for the annual Marengo Swamp Ride fund raiser for Wish I Could of NE La near Hebert, Louisiana. This made the third year that the ARES group has provided communications. This is the 22nd year that Wish I Could has held the Marengo Swamp Run.

We headed down Friday to get things set up. Once all was in place, the pit was set up and the cookout was held. Thanks to Larry (N5ASA), for handling the grilling duties.

The following people handled the communication duties during the day of the ride, Larry (N5ASA), BT (KE5HLT), Melinda (N5MEL), Paul (W5PEM), Mack (KA5JNL), Randy (KE5ESU), Alan (W5HUD), Kevin (W5KGT), David (W5DSG), and Mark (K5ER). David brought his boat that he used to take Paul to and from the Levee. He also used his boat to help transport people to and from the Suicide Hole. BT brought his ATV that he used to check on other riders and transport some of our team and equipment. Thanks to David and BT for doing this.

Be sure and go to the links at the bottom of this page to see pictures at all the locations. Thank you to BT, Larry, Paul and Melinda for the pictures they took. Website made by Alan.
