 The PHARA Hot Dog Social & Swapfest was held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Cook Park in Ruston. The goal for these hot dog socials is to spread friendship between clubs and hams from different areas of the State. There were hams in attendance from a wide area, as far south as Scott, Louisiana. James (W5JC) and Debbie (KD5RWQ) were kept busy grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. The food was very delicious. Door prizes were drawn during the day. The First Prize, ICOM 2200H mobile was won by James S. Prothro, Sr. The Second Prize, Yaesu FT60R Dual Band HT was won by James D. McPherson. Melinda (N5MEL) took pictures during the day.
